“Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you'll look back and realize they were big things.” -Robert Brault
Does anyone else, when they're filling up a glass of ice water, put in the ice and then make the water hit the ice just so and watch it melt a hole??? I do!
Actually, I find it to be the best part of putting ice in my water. (Usually, I don't put ice in it at all. I mean, we have a water dispenser in the fridge, so the water is cold enough on its own. And isn't that the sole purpose of the ice- to make the water cold?)
Anyways, I was thinking about that today as I filled up a glass of ice water for my Mommy, and I thought of something- I am easily amused.
Now, that really shouldn't be too surprising or anything. Some of the weirdest things will entertain me! I sat today for about ten minutes fiddling around with a pair of toy handcuffs. And I managed not to get myself locked in. (Which is quite a feat, if I do say so myself. (And I do!))
So, I was thinking... Why do people find it so strange or funny or whatever that some people are so easily amused? What if we all decided to just... smile! You'd be amazed what a smile can do to brighten someone's day- whether it be yours or not.
And I realize that this is going to be a very short post today, but this week, make it a point to smile at something weird at least once. Whether or not (although especially if) you're having a bad day. Maybe it's the toy handcuffs. Maybe it's melting a hole in the ice.
